Bikepacking in Nice

Plan a multi-day bikepacking adventure on a road or gravel bike: we'll work together on the route, daily stages, climbing, luggage and self-sufficiency to suit your plans.

Bikepacking at your own pace

Your bikepacking adventure, on road or gravel.

One night, a weekend or several days: your trip is built around your bike, ability and preferred level of independence. Road, gravel or a mixture of both: each stage is designed to suit the journey you're dreaming of.

Planning your trip

Four essentials for preparing your bikepacking adventure.

01

Road bikepacking

Mainly paved stages with distances and elevation gain suited to your pace.

02

Gravel bikepacking

Tracks, trails and minor roads combined according to the terrain, your luggage and technical ability.

03

Luggage & equipment

Pack and balance the essentials to keep your bike stable and your load light.

04

Daily stages & self-sufficiency

Realistic daily rides with food, water, useful stops and enough time built into the plan.

A trip that's easy to plan

You bring the idea. I'll plan the journey.

Your preferred duration, type of bike, ability, terrain and level of self-sufficiency are all we need to get started. I'll then build a coherent bikepacking plan, from the GPX route and daily stages to luggage and supply stops.

You choose the adventure

Your first overnight trip, a weekend or several days, on road or gravel: we'll start with the experience you'd like to have.

I plan the journey

Route, stages, elevation, terrain, equipment and independence all come together to create a realistic, enjoyable trip suited to your experience.

Stages & pace

Daily distance, climbing, terrain and riding time are designed so you can enjoy consecutive days without making mileage the only priority.

Road or gravel

The route can focus on road cycling, gravel or a combination of both when your bike and experience allow. The terrain is selected accordingly.

Luggage & equipment

We'll review what to pack, weight distribution, clothing, small repairs and the equipment useful for several days on the bike.

Self-sufficiency & preparation

Water, food, weather, resupply points and safety margins are all planned so you can travel with peace of mind and gain useful skills for future adventures.

Nice. The sea. The hills. And beyond.

Nice quickly connects the coast with the hills and countryside, opening the way to more remote parts of the Alpes-Maritimes.

On road or gravel, there are plenty of starting points for an overnight trip, weekend or longer journey.

Before you set off

Just a few details to get started.

When you contact me, tell me your preferred duration, ability, bike, terrain, number of riders and how independent you'd like to be. If you already have a GPX route or destination in mind, we can start with that.

Questions you may still
have.

What level do I need to join a ride?

The ride is adapted to your ability. When planning, we'll discuss your cycling experience, habits and goals so we can choose the right route.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

You can bring your own bike if it's suitable for the ride and in good condition. If needed, we can discuss the best option beforehand.

How long does a ride last?

It depends on your plans, ability and chosen route. An introductory ride, a challenging ride and a longer day out are all different experiences.

Can I book alone, as a couple or in a small group?

Yes. Rides can be arranged for individuals, couples or small groups, depending on your plans.

Can the routes be customised?

Yes. The route is created around your ability, interests, type of bike, available time and the area you'd like to explore.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We check the conditions before the ride. If it's not safe or comfortable to ride, we'll review the arrangements together.

What equipment do I need?

You'll need a suitable bike in good condition, comfortable clothing and drinking water. We'll confirm the specific requirements before the ride.

What's the difference between road cycling and bikepacking?

Road cycling focuses on tarmac and paved routes. Bikepacking can combine roads, tracks and trails according to your technical ability and preferences.

Can you help me plan a bikepacking or multi-day trip?

Yes. I can help plan the route, daily stages, equipment, luggage and self-sufficiency to create a realistic trip.
